Big T & NYC

Lil' T and I had an adventure this weekend. We took the train to NYC to visit my brother, Big T. It was Lil' T's first train ride and he was amazing. It was a bit of an adventure on the way down because the storm caused our train to lose power and we had to change trains in New Haven. We had some very helpful people on our train who helped us switch trains and get settled on the new train and we had really nice people sitting with us for both parts. This made the almost 6 hour trip much more pleasant. AS I said Lil' T was a real trooper.
After arriving in the city we got to see where Big T works and then we visited with our friends Dan, Ruth and Mila. Lil' T loved Mila of course:) We took the babes to a playground near their apartment and they had fun swinging and sliding. After a nice visit with the Abedon clan we headed to Brooklyn to Big T's apartment. Lil' T had fun exploring before heading to bed.
On Sunday we met up with our friend Chris for brunch and then we checked out the Apple Store that is a glass cube and we did a little shopping in FAO Swartz. From there we headed to the Central Park Zoo. Along the way we got to see part of the NYC Marathon. Lil' T loved the zoo. He was so excited to see all the animals. Many firsts for him; Trains, subway, NYC and a zoo. The train ride back was less eventful but the little man was exhausted. He was a trooper and did eventually fall asleep. Unfortunately he woke up and didn't know where he was with about 20 minutes left. Poor little guy!
Now we're home and he is catching up on his sleep. Thank you Big T for a great weekend and we look forward to a longer visit next time:)
