Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! We have returned from the beautiful island of St. John to our snowy home in Pepperell:) I think Lil' T is a little confused by the snow and not too happy about having to wear a snowsuit again. We had an amazing vacation and wish we could have stayed longer. I do think Lil' T missed his crib because we were camping and he would roll all over the tent. We had some rough nights but luckily had super neighbors at the campground who were very understanding about a crying baby. At least we had a beautiful beach to walk on to settle him down:) Lil' T loved the beach and warm water. He was a little hesitant the first half of the trip about the water's edge but loved being in the water with us. By the end of the trip he was crawling right into the water without any hesitation. We just need to teach him how to hold his breath:) It was a big week of celebrations from us; Lil' T's first Christmas, his first birthday, 1st anniversary of the day we got "the call" and our first "family day" anniversary. Lil' T loved his gifts from his unkie and grandparents. He wasn't too sure about opening stuff but once they were open he had a blast looking at books, playing with his noisy puzzle, making music with his new St John maraca and swimming in his "boat". On his birthday it took some encouragement for Lil' T to "dig" into his cheese cake but he got messy in the end. The rest of the trip was spent hiking, snorkeling, swimming and eating:) We saw tons of turtles and lil' T even got to see one that swam close to shore one day. We can't wait to go back again!
