Memorial Day Weekend Tradition

Another fantastic weekend has flown by! It has become a tradition for our family to go to Ogunquit for the Memorial Day weekend and visit the Tavares family. The Beaulieu family usually joins us for a day at the beach as well. This year was a bit different since Ryan and "Uncle" Stephen were heading north for a rafting trip with the WPI guys. They joined us for part of the beach day and then left. The kiddos and I had a blast with everyone. Lil' T plays so well with Molly and Ava and they play so well with him. They all have their moments but they were few and far between this past weekend. As I said we started out with a beach day and then all the kiddos had fun playing in the Tavares' yard before the Beaulieu clan headed home. We spent a fun day visiting Molly & Ava's Nana's house up in Wiscasset. She has a fantastic yard to play in. She has a real playhouse,a swingset, sand, "instruments" hanging in trees, etc. Molly & Ava's cousin Lucas joined us too so that was lots of fun. It was a gorgeous day for it too. When we returned to Ogunquit with joined "Uncle" Matt's family for a BBQ at his parents' house. Two more cousins to play with and a big backyard so Lil' T was a happy camper. On our last day we went to the playground and then went to watch the parade before Ry and "Uncle" Stephen joined us for lunch on their way back through. Many photos were taken so here are just a few to enjoy!

Posing with Mama and Princess P at the beach

Buried alive with Molly, Phoenix, Reilly & Lazlo (he was helping cover them with sand)

"We are sharks!"

A 3 headed mermaid & two sharks (you never know what will wash up on shore)

Surfing with "Auntie" Sarah

Cymbals in trees; what could be better?!

Science time with "Nana"; tornado in a bottle

BBQ at the Tavares: Lil' T, Princess P, Liam, Ava, Molly & Caitlyn

Bedtime stories (on this night Ava read a story to the little kids)

Flying high with Molly at the playground

Waiting for the parade

The kiddos were given flags by someone in the parade. Molly & Ava waved theirs in front but Lil' T insisted on holding his behind his back. We decided he was protesting something:)
