First Ski Trip

My Dad and I took Lil' T on his first ski adventure today. After a bit of a delayed start due to a disgruntled 2 year old (he was a little tired from a busy weekend and he was not sure about the ski boots and skis) we did managed some slope time. He took over an hour to eat lunch but once we got some food in him he was willing to give skiing a try. He did really well riding on the Magic Carpet and insisted on singing while we rode. We took a couple of runs down with him between our legs and then we tried having him ski between us while holding our hands. He did well. It will be a few more times before he gets the hang of holding his own weight up. He loved the momentum and would say at the top "ready, set, go" but didn't quite get that he needs to hold his body up. He appeared to enjoy skiing while doing it but when he was done today he was DONE!!!! We took a break (after an hour or so on the slope) and then got 2 more runs in before calling it a day for Lil' T. For the last 2 runs we had found a cool thing that connected the tips of his skis together (thank you for the suggestion "Auntie" Myriah) and he had his best runs of the day! Here are some pictures from the day, enjoy! 1) After a big meltdown and a looooong lunch we are ready to hit the slope, 2) first ride on the Magic Carpet, 3) first trip down the hill with "mama", 4) riding the carpet while singing "Old MacDonald", 5) a trip down the slope with "Bapa" and 6) "This isn't so bad after all".
P.S. Of course he thought the ski poles were really fun and that's the one piece of equipment little kids don't use and we didn't rent for him!
