Another busy day of adventuring in the world of Chocolate, Herhsey Park that is. Since we are staying in one of the Hershey accommodations we were allowed to enter the park an hour early. It was fabulous. Lil' T got to ride on rides multiple times in a row because there were no lines and he could run around without running into anyone. Of course only a small part of the park was open but as soon as the rest of the park opened we headed for the water activities. Nani & Da very generously rented a cabana for the day. This gave us a place to rest, stay cool and get some shade in between all the activities. We also had a large supply of water, other refreshments, sunscreen and towels. Lil' T had a blast playing in the water areas. There were 3 areas that he loved. The first 2 were for smaller children. The first one had a small wave pool, water squirting from different places and a big, wide slide. Lil' T thought the waves were fun and laughed every time one went by. I can't even count how many times he went down the slide. The second area had a big sand castle structure to explore with 3 slides (2 straight down and one curvy, tube), water cannons and water falls. It had 2 levels of water and there were lots of ways to manipulate falling water. Lil' T loved the water cannons and was quite the expert at getting everyone wet. When he discovered the curvy, tube slide he was so happy. He somehow always ended up under water at the bottom but would state to whoever was helping him out "again!". The third area was this huge structure with stairs, climbing nets, tubes and many slides. There were also many ways to get wet or get others wet. There were 3 slides for Lil' T and he tried them all. The 1st was a much larger curvy, tube and he wasn't so sure about it but the other straight slides he enjoyed. He made a much bigger splash at the bottoms of these. We had to drag him away kicking and screaming when it was time to warm up and have some lunch. He just loved it! After a great lunch and a decent nap he picked up his life jacket and was ready to go again. We spent about another hour or so in the water and then moved on to drier things. We went on a train and a monorail and then went to Chocolate World. At Chocolate World we went on yet another ride that took us through the chocolate making process. We got a sample Hershey bar at the end, yum! We are all tired and sun-kissed but it has been a wonderful adventure. Tomorrow we will play in the pool, pack up the car and head home! Here are the pics from today. I didn't take a ton since we were in the water most of the day. 1) family photo op (not really a professional though since he shot right into the sun, Lil' T is very serious about the giant, wood candy bar, 2) taking a helicopter out for a spin, 3) oh boy, waves, 4) shooting water at anyone that gets to close to the castle, 5) Lil' T is in there, look for the hands and feet (he is my little dare-devil), 6) Property of Hershey Park (that's what his vest claims), 7) what else would you drink at Hershey Park, but Hershey's Chocolate Milk? & 8) happy to be riding on the monorail!
