I started this post on Labor Day, hence the title. We had a great week leading up to our fabulous long weekend. Lil' T got to partake in two Creature Features at Felix Neck. He learned about frogs one day and turtles the second day. Ciara came to play 2 days and Sam joined us for 1 day. It was sad to have summer end! Lil' T "helped" Uncle and Bapa with a few things around the house. We anxiously awaited Hurricane Earl only to be disappointed with it (lots of rain but nothing else). They had driving bans and made stores close. It was a lot of hype! Anyway while we waited for the storm to arrive Lil' T had a blast playing in the mud puddles. They changed the driving ban so we had time to go for a drive and check out the waves on the south side of the island. They were very cool to watch since every now and then one would come up over the dunes and pour down into the road. Once the storm passed "Uncle" Jesse & "Auntie" Amie were able to arrive on Saturday morning. We had a fabulous weekend with them! We had lunch at Slice, a hike at Sepiessa, a hike at Cedar Tree Neck, a trip up-island (included stops at Chilmark Chocolates and the Cliffs), sunset dinner on Menemsha Beach, breakfast with Uncle, Grama & Bapa, and a short hike in OB before putting them on the boat. The kids and I also attended Ciara Ru & Chloe's ice exhibition on Saturday. It was a great weekend and now we are enjoying having Ryan/Daddy here for the whole week!
